It’s not just for the election. It gives us the ability to act together in the best interests of all members. Without PoAs, we lose that united legal voice.</p> <img width="65" height="65" src="https://nrs.help/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Ques.png" alt="" /> <h2>But AFRINIC said they won’t be using PoAs. Why?</h2> <p>AFRINIC didn’t stop the election because PoAs are invalid. PoAs are a legal right under Mauritian law, and no company can take that away. What actually happened is that Cloud Innovation went to court, and the Receiver had to follow the court order. This wasn’t AFRINIC rejecting PoAs, it was a legal process triggered by the court case.</p> <img width="65" height="65" src="https://nrs.help/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Ques.png" alt="" /> <h2>If AFRINIC is shut down, are members’ resources safe?</h2> <p>Yes, if we’re ready. The more PoAs we hold, the stronger our legal position.
